The subject support comprises a table top (108) configured for translating at least a portion of a subject within an imaging zone of a magnetic resonance imaging system (112). The table top comprises: as least one receptacle (304) recessed into the table top； a cable system (308) configured for providing power and/or connectivity to a magnetic resonance imaging coil (412)； and multiple connectors (120) distributed within the at least one receptacle. The multiple connectors are configured for providing access to the power and the connectivity of the cable system.
