The present invention relates to a slow-release solid oral nutraceutical and/or pharmaceutical composition comprising: c) a core containing a donor of methyl groups and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, and d) an outer coating containing shellac and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, magnesium stearate, and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The coating of said solid oral composition allows the donor of methyl groups, preferably SAMe and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to cross intact the gastric barrier and release the same in a continuous and complete manner along the entire digestive tract.La présente invention concerne une composition nutraceutique et/ou pharmaceutique orale solide à libération lente comprenant : c) un noyau contenant un donneur de groupes méthyle et au moins un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable et d) un revêtement externe contenant du shellac et/ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable correspondant, du stéarate de magnésium et au moins un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable. Le revêtement de ladite composition orale solide permet au donneur de groupes méthyle, de préférence de la SAMe et/ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable correspondant, de traverser la barrière gastrique sous forme intacte et de libérer celui-ci de manière continue et complète le long de l'intégralité du tractus digestif.
