PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for obtaining transportation information of an electronic cassette which appropriately deal with the failure of an electronic cassette during transportation, and finding out the cause of failure or making the responsibility for the failure clear.SOLUTION: A transportation information acquisition unit 40 for an electronic cassette has an installation detection circuit 51 for detecting that the electronic cassette is taken out of a package box and installed at a destination, a sensor group 52 of an acceleration sensor 59 or the like, and an EEPROM 55 for storing transportation information 63 as the measurement results of the sensor group 52. An imaging control device has a determination circuit for determining the presence or absence of failure of the electronic cassette during transportation based on the transportation information 63.
