This invention relates to the use of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies thatspecifically bind to and have the ability in the alternative to become internalizedby cells expressing endosialin and to induce an immune effector activity suchas antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. The antibodies are useful inspecific delivery of pharmacologic agents to endosialin-expressing cellsas well as in eliciting an immune-effector activity particularly on tumor andneovascular cells and precursors.
