PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipstick composition which exhibits an antioxidant action, i.e., a reducing action when adsorbed into the human body so as to eliminate the possibility that when a lipstick or a lipstick composition is used, it is unconsciously absorbed into the human body to exhibit an oxidizing action within the human body.
SOLUTION: There is provided a lipstick composition having an edible pigment extracted from a natural material and characterized in that after being absorbed into the human body. It exhibits a reducing action in an index in terms of a redox potential in a body fluid in the state of the body. It is confirmed that the lipstick composition develops a reducing action significant in the physiological activity within the human body when it is taken into the human body from the lips through the oral cavity or when it is taken into the human body through the skin, which is based on an idea not found in any conventional lipstick compositions. It is very useful because it can contribute aesthetic/beauty and health preservation when it is used in a lipstick.
