PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately generate a phase differential image even when an abnormality partially occurs in a plurality of image data acquired by a fringe scanning method.SOLUTION: A first periodic pattern image (a G1 image) is generated by allowing a radiation ray radiated from an X-ray source to pass through a first grid. A second periodic pattern image (a G2 image) is generated by partially shielding the G1 image by a second grid. The second grid is moved at a predetermined scanning pitch with respect to the first grid so that the second grid is sequentially set at a plurality of scanning positions. Image data are generated by detecting the G2 image at each scanning position by an X-ray image detector. It is determined whether or not each pixel value of each image data is an abnormal pixel value on the basis of the predetermined determination criteria. The abnormal pixel value is removed from each image data.
