The stand (10) has a stand leg (6) for supporting the stand on a floor. The stand leg includes multiple rollers (16) for traversing the stand on the floor. A sensor unit (22) e.g. speed sensor, determines a traversing movement of the stand. A control unit (20) controls a drive unit (18) i.e. direct current motor, such that the drive unit supportingly drives one of the rollers when the sensor unit detects the traversing movement of the stand. A carrier unit (12) is hingedly arranged at the stand leg. An energy storage unit (19) e.g. battery, stores electrical energy for the drive unit.
