PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus, instantaneously observing the state of the back of a monitor at need while securing the easier viewing (the size and position) of the monitor to efficiently achieve sure examination.
SOLUTION: To solve the above problem, the endoscope apparatus includes: an insert part where an observing optical system is disposed an operation part for operating the operation of the insert part a display part provided on the operation part and having a display area capable of displaying an endoscopic image acquired through the observation optical system and entering the transmission state and a display switching part provided on the operation part to switch at least part of the display area of the display part to the transmission state.
