Presently described are systems (100) for facilitating obesity control comprising: a gastric banding device (102) including at least one inflatable member for containing fluid； a fluid reservoir (104)； an implantable pump unit (106) in communication with the fluid reservoir for controlling pressure within the inflatable member, the implantable pump unit including a piezoelectric diaphragm pump and a remote control device capable of communicating with the pump.
