The present invention relates to a foot orthosis which covers and protects feet of patients, especially, the paralytic, and to a foot orthosis with improved support performance and wearability which allows an elastic string for fixing a cover when a user wears or takes off the cover covering the foot to be wound or unwound by one touch operation, covers the top of the foot or the Achilles tendon moving a lot during walking with a soft and comfortable cover of a flexible material, and allows the loosen elastic string to be easily pulled to be more loosen to enable a user to easily wear and take off the cover. The foot orthosis with improved support performance and wearability according to the present invention comprises a bottom cover body； a top cover body； an elastic string； a mounting means； and a controlling unit.본 발명은 환자 중 특히 중풍 환자의 족부를 감싸 보호하기 위한 족부 보조기에 관한 것으로, 족부를 감싸는 커버를 착용하거나 탈거할 때에 커버를 고정하기 위한 탄성스트링을 원터치 동작으로 감거나 풀 수 있도록 하고, 보행 시 움직임이 많은 발등이나 아킬레스건을 부드럽고 편안한 가요성 재질의 커버로 감싸며, 느슨해진 탄성스트링을 쉽게 잡아당겨 좀 더 느슨하게 하여 착용 및 탈거가 용이하게끔 구현한 지지 성능 및 착용감이 향상된 족부 보조기에 관한 것이다.이를 구현하기 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 지지 성능 및 착용감이 향상된 족부 보조기는, 신체에서 발바닥의 아치를 감싸는 아치커버(arch-cover), 다리의 종아리를 감싸는 케프커버(calf-cover), 그리고 상기 아치커버와 케프커버를 상호 연결하는 중계부와 상기 중계부 내에 형성되어 발꿈치 및 이의 힘줄이 외부로 노출되게 하는 개방부를 갖는 중계커버를 포함하는 바텀커버체； 발등 및 정강이와 이들을 잇는 발목을 감싸는 탑커버를 포함하고, 상기 바텀커버체 상부에 배치되는 탑커버체； 발꿈치의 힘줄을 감싸는 리어커버(rear-cover)를 포함하고, 상기 바텀커버체에서 중계커버의 개방부에 배치되는 리어커버체； 상기 바텀커버체의 케프커버 양단부를 시작으로 상기 리어커버체의 중계커버를 지나 상기 바텀커버체의 아치커버 양단부를 번갈아가며 지그재그로 배열되는 엔드리스(endless)형 탄성스트링； 상기 탄성스트링이 이의 배열 라인을 따라 이동될 수 있도록 상기 케프커버, 아치커버, 탑커버 및 리어커버에 상기 탄성스트링을 설치하기 위한 장착수단； 및 상기 바텀커버체의 케프커버 후방에 장착되고, 상기 탄성스트링에 대한 와인딩 및 언와인딩 동작을 하게 되는 조절유닛；을 포함하여 이루어지도록 구현한다.
