The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating nerve damage disorders comprising glucose-related protein 75 (Grp75) as an active component. It is confirmed that overexpression of Grp75 activates the movement of calcium from vesicles to mitochondria, thereby causing increased production of energy that is basically required for nerve regeneration, and also it is confirmed that overexpression of Grp75 promotes nerve regeneration in cell culture. Accordingly, it is expected that Grp75 can be usefully utilized in the development of therapeutic agents for injuries to central nervous system and peripheral nervous system.본 발명은 글루코스-관련 단백질 75(Glucose-related protein 75； Grp75) 단백질을 유효성분으로 포함하는 신경 손상 질환 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, Grp75 단백질의 과발현이 소포체로부터의 미토콘드리아로의 칼슘 이동을 활성화 시켜, 신경재생에 기본적으로 필요한 에너지를 더 생성하게 만드는 것을 확인하였으며, 세포 배양에서 Grp75 단백질 과발현이 신경 재생을 촉진하는 것을 확인하였다. 이에, Grp75 단백질은 중추 신경 및 말초 신경 손상 치료제 개발에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
