This invention relates to a dental appliance cleanser which is a metastable emulsion comprising about 50- 99% w/w of an aqueous phase, about 1-50% w/w of a water immiscible oily phase, the oily phase having a combination of a one or more immiscible oils and one or more flavor oils. The dental appliance cleanser is applied to the dental appliance, outside the wearers mouth, in the form of an aerated foam.
