The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases containing sertaconazole or its salt as an active ingredient. The present invention has confirmed that the sertaconzole, if administered, reduces expression of CCL2 induced by 27OH chol and accordingly reduces movement of monocytes. In a case of increasing the expression of the CCL2 caused by the 27OH chol, arteriosclerosis may be accelerated and, on the contrary, in a case of lacking the CCL2, an arteriosclerosis focus may be reduced. Therefore, the composition containing the sertaconazole may be applied to an agent for treating or preventing the cardiovascular diseases including the arteriosclerosis.본 발명은 세르타코나졸(sertaconazole) 또는 이의 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 심혈관질환 예방 및 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면 세르타코나졸의 투여로 27OH Chol에 의해 유도되는 CCL2의 발현이 감소되어 단핵구의 이동을 감소시킬 수 있음이 확인되었다. 27OH Chol에 의한 CCL2의 발현이 증가할 경우 동맥경화가 촉진될 수 있고, 반대로 CCL2를 결핍시킬 경우 동맥경화 병소의 감소를 일으키므로, 세르타코나졸을 포함하는 조성물은 동맥경화를 포함하는 심혈관질환의 예방 또는 치료제로 적용할 수 있다.
