The first strain sensor (411) is arranged in a location that is fixed in relation to said frame (210) or is fastened to said frame (210) in a stationary manner and is above or below the centre line (CT) of the transverse axle (220). In such a transport device (100), said first strain sensor (411) is configured to measure the elongation of said transverse axle (220) in said location, and the quantity of the load of the transport device (100) can be calculated on the basis of a signal or response from the first strain sensor (411).
