PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osteosynthesis system that uses an intramedullary nail and bone screws for increasing the load bearing capacity of tubular bones during healing of fractures of the tubular bones.SOLUTION: An intramedullary nail includes an elongated nail body with two end sections and a middle section therebetween. The nail body has at least one transverse screw hole for screwing in at least one bone screw 25, 27 into each end section. Furthermore, the nail body has a through-channel arranged off the center in the cross section of the nail body for pushing through a guide element.
