PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus which avoids an increase in calculation time and provides a cross sectional image with reduced radial artifacts.
SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus is equipped with: an X-ray source for irradiating an subject with X-rays a two-dimensional X-ray detector which is disposed opposite to the X-ray source with the subject therebetween and detects the transmitted X-rays of the subject a rotation means for rotating the X-ray source and the two-dimensional X-ray detector around the subject while keeping them face each other an image reconstitution means for generating X-ray CT cross sectional images from X-ray image data from the two-dimensional X-ray detector an addition means for adding the generated first X-ray CT cross sectional image and a second X-ray CT cross sectional image obtained by rotating the rotation means for a prescribed angle and a display means for displaying the added X-ray CT cross sectional image.
