Amphiphilic cationic polymers comprising a biocompatible amphiphile linked to an organic cation are provided. The polymers complex with therapeutic agents and facilitate delivery of such therapeutic agents, particularly therapeutic nucleic acids, both in vitro and in vivo. Accordingly, the invention further provides methods of facilitating delivery of therapeutic and/or diagnostic agents to a cell and methods of treating a condition, such as a disease or infection, in an organism using the amphiphilic cationic polymers of the invention.La présente invention concerne des polymères cationiques amphiphiles, comprenant un amphiphile biocompatible lié à un cation organique. Lesdits polymères forment un complexe avec des agents thérapeutiques et facilitent l'administration de ces agents thérapeutiques, en particulier d'acides nucléiques, à la fois in vitro et in vivo. En conséquence, l'invention porte en outre sur des procédés permettant de faciliter l'administration d'agents thérapeutiques et/ou diagnostiques à une cellule, et sur des méthodes de traitement d'un état, tel qu'une maladie ou une infection, dans un organisme au moyen desdits polymères cationiques amphiphiles selon l'invention.
