PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine for overcoming a cancer immunosuppressive state, a composition for cancer immuno-therapy using the medicine and cancer immuno-therapy.SOLUTION: A weaning agent for cancer immunosuppression includes betulin as an effective component. The agent is used in order to recover cytotoxic activity controlled by TGF-β, or to recover cytotoxic activity controlled by PGE2. The agent can be used together with cancer immuno-therapy. The method is to increase NK cell or T cell activity in a patient who requires it and to whom the weaning agent for cancer immunosuppression is administered. The composition for cancer immuno-therapy contains an amount of betulin effective to wean cancer immunosuppression, a cancer immuno-therapeutic agent and a pharmacologically permissible carrier or excipient. The cancer immuno-therapy is at least one selected from an immunocyte, a vaccine, an immunomodulator, a biological response modifier and antibody. The cancer immuno-therapy includes administering the composition to a patient having cancer or to a patient having a possibility of cancer.
