What is described is a recombinant poxvirus, such as avipox virus, containingforeign DNA from porcine circovirus (2). What are also described areimmunological compositions containing the recombinant poxvirus for inducing animmunological response in a host animal to which the immunological compositionis administered. Also described are methods of treating or preventing diseasecaused by porcine circovirus (2) by administering the immunologicalcompositions of the invention to an animal in need of treatment or susceptibleto infection by porcine circovirus (2).
