Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for processing a bio-signal. The bio-signal processing apparatus according to an embodiment can extract reference points from a waveform of the bio-signal and determine a pulse direction of the bio-signal based on the extracted reference points. The bio-signal processing apparatus can determine the feature point of the bio-signal according to a feature point determination method corresponding to the pulse direction of the bio-signal.생체신호 처리 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 생체신호 처리 장치는 생체신호의 파형으로부터 기준점들을 추출하고, 추출된 기준점들에 기초하여 생체신호의 펄스 방향을 결정할 수 있다. 생체신호 처리 장치는 생체신호의 펄스 방향에 대응하는 특징점 결정 방식에 따라 생체신호의 특징점을 결정할 수 있다.
