In some embodiments, a spinal stabilization system may be formed in a patientusing quick-connect sleeve assemblies (820). Each quick-connect sleeve assemblycan be coupled to a bone fastener assembly (102) in a fast and intuitive way. Inone embodiment, a quick-connect sleeve assembly has a detachable member (821)and a movable member (822). Both members engage a collar (112) of the bone fastenerassembly. In one embodiment, the engagement can be locked via one or more lockingfeatures (830) to facilitate screwing a bone fastener (108) of the bone fastenerassembly onto a vertebral body (166) in a minimally invasive surgical procedure.Each quick-connect sleeve assembly has a low profile and is particularly shapedfor minimally invasive entry.
