PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform power supply to an endoscope and on/off of illumination to an object by one operation.
SOLUTION: A processor device 11 is provided with a light source part 28, a processor part 29, a main switch 12, an inspection/lighting switch 13 and a main power circuit 30, and is connected to an electronic endoscope 10. The electronic endoscope 10 is provided with a CCD 23. When the main switch 12 is turned on, the main power circuit 30 supplies a power supply voltage to a light source driver 33 and a light source side CPU 36 of the light source part 28 and a power circuit 39 for an imaging part and a processor side CPU 40 of the processor part 29. When the inspection/lighting switch 13 is pressed long, the light source driver 33 turns on/off the lighting of a light source 31, and the power supply from the power circuit 39 for the imaging part to the CCD 23 is turned on/off.
