A composite material is provided. The composite material comprises an inorganic material coated with a photocatalyst material, wherein the content of the photocatalyst material is from about 1 to about 99 wt% based on the total weight of the composite material. The composite material of the subject invention can not only shield off the infrared, but also absorb the ultraviolet to exhibit good superhydrophilic property, self-clean function, antimicrobial ability, and deodorization efficacy because of the presence of the photocatalyst material.
