PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel, when casting, preventing an increase in release resistance irrelevant to a spool winding amount of a fishing line to be wound around a spool.SOLUTION: The fishing reel includes a level wind device 50 having a fishing line guide body 60 in which a fishing line fed from a spool is inserted and that reciprocates between left/right side plates.
