PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical cap excellent in securing sealability represented by the fact or the like that prevents a gap due to displacement between an elastic plug body and an outer frame body from appearing, does not cause liquid leakage when being punctured with a needle, and is excellent in holding force and restoring force in the case of needle omission, and to provide a method for manufacturing the medical cap.SOLUTION: A medical cap 10 has an elastic plug body 2 and an outer frame body 1 which houses the elastic plug body 2 inside. The outer frame body 1 has: a first support part 11 for encircling the elastic plug body 2 with a plurality of annular walls 14 and housing it an outer wall 32 encircling the first support part 11 and a second support part 12 provided with protrusion parts 31 which protrudes from an inside surface of the outer wall 32. The protrusion parts 31 are welded to contact surfaces of the annular walls 14 in a state where the annular walls 14 and the elastic plug body 2 are pressed, and is in contact with and welded to the elastic plug body 2 in gaps of the plurality of annular walls 14. Pressure is applied to the elastic plug body 2 by the annular walls 14 and the protrusion parts 31.
