An object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition containing a polyglycerin fatty acid ester having extremely low skin irritation and a cosmetic containing the same. In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a cleansing cosmetic composition which can be used for any kind of cosmetic material to be removed and which has extremely high safety and little skin irritation. Specifically, a cosmetic composition comprises a polyglycerin fatty acid ester which is formed by ester bonding of a polyglycerin having an average degree of polymerization of 15 to 30 and a mixed fatty acid of caprylic acid and capric acid, and a cosmetic containing the same.本發明的課題在於提供含有皮膚刺激性極低的聚甘油脂肪酸酯的化妝料用組成物及含有該化妝料用組成物的化妝料。本發明的課題尤其是在於提供不挑選成為卸妝對象的化妝料的種類的卸妝料，且安全性極高、皮膚刺激性小的卸妝料。具體而言，為含有平均聚合度為15至30的聚甘油與辛酸及癸酸的混合脂肪酸進行酯鍵結合而成的聚甘油脂肪酸酯的化妝料用組成物及含有該化妝料用組成物的化妝料。
