The present invention relates to hyaluronate fibers and, more specifically, to: hyaluronate fibers which can be used as a surgical suture, a filler for cosmetic surgery, a lifting thread, scaffold for tissue engineering, and the like; and a manufacturing method therefor. The method for manufacturing hyaluronate fibers by using melt spinning, comprises the steps of: (a) adjusting the water content of hyaluronate, having a weight-average molecular weight of 500-3,000 kDa, to 5-20%; (b) putting the hyaluronate of which the water content is adjusted in a melt spinning device, heating the same to 150-200°C, and performing high pressure spinning so as to manufacture hyaluronate fibers; and (c) dipping the hyaluronate fibers in an ethanol aqueous solution and hardening the surface thereof. The hyaluronate fibers of the present invention are manufactured with hyaluronate as the primary component, thereby having excellent safety and biocompatibility, and do not cause contamination by microorganisms, as opposed to conventional liquid hydrogel products, and are easy to manage and use, thereby being usable as various forms of preparations for repairing tissues. In addition, the hyaluronate fibers of the present invention are solid-form products, thereby having a very small volume in comparison to the concentration of the hyaluronate, such that the therapeutic effect thereof can be maximized by minimizing a patient's pain and discomfort during administration to the body.
