An object of the present invention is to provide a local anesthetic-containing composition characterized by (1) exerting immediate and long-lasting medicinal effect without sustained release after administration, and/or (2) having storage stability.The present invention provides an acidic emulsion compos ition comprising a local anesthetic and a glyceride in which a fatty acid(s) having 6 to 12 carbon atoms is/are bound to glycerin via an ester bond(s).
