A cannulation device for administering an active agent containing composition to the suprachoroidal space or supraciliary space. An elongated body with needle 8 has a cannula 38 with atraumatic tip within. A force element 40 is provided to advance the cannula 38 from the needle 8. The cannula 38 connects to either a port or reservoir for the active material. A distal seal element may be slideably provided on the needle 13, to seal the needle 13 until contact with tissue causes the needle 13 to penetrate the seal. Also disclosed are methods of treatment of an ocular disease and compositions for delivery into the suprachoroidal space or supraciliary space.
