The present invention relates to a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component. More specifically, a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component has an effect of inhibiting fat accumulation in adipose tissues treated with the composition of the present invention, and a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component inhibits adipocytic differentiation by inhibiting the expression of PPAR&gamma； and C/EBP&alpha；, which are transcription factors in preadipocyte cells. Accordingly, a composition for anti-obesity comprising ailanthoidol as an effective component according to the present invention has application values in pharmaceutical uses as well as food uses as a composition having effects in prevention, alleviation, or treatment of obesity.본 발명은 아일란토이돌(ailanthoidol)을 유효성분으로 포함하는 항 비만용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세하게는 본 발명의 조성물을 처리한 지방조직에서 지방의 축적을 억제하는 효과가 있으며, 지방전구세포에서 전사인자인 PPARγ 및 C/EBPα의 발현을 억제함으로써 지방세포로의 분화를 억제하는 것이다. 따라서, 본 발명의 조성물은 비만을 예방, 개선 또는 치료에 효과가 있는 조성물로, 식품뿐만 아니라 약학용으로도 활용가치가 있는 것이다.
