PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for an endoscope capable of reducing the light intensity of a wavelength band of 460 to 500 nm while holding the balance of intensity between a green light and blue light, and an endoscope system.SOLUTION: A first DM 55a irradiates a rotary fluorescent body 50 with excitation light LE by reflecting the excitation light LE made incident from a V-LD 53. The rotary fluorescent body 50 has a first region for emitting green light LG due to the irradiation with the excitation light LE, and a second region for emitting blue light LB due to the irradiation with the excitation light LE, and the first region and the second region pass through the irradiation position of the excitation light LE due to rotation. The first DM 55a makes the green light LG and the blue light LB emitted from the rotary fluorescent body 50 transmit. A notch filter 59 is provided on optical paths of the green light LG and the blue light LB, and reduces the light intensity of the wavelength band of 460 to 500 nm from the green light LG and the blue light LB.
