The present disclosure provides a method for determining an effect of a drug on pain experienced by a patient. The method comprises providing reference information concerning at least one visible and/or audible feature that is indicative of a level of the pain. The method further comprises capturing information indicative of the at least one visible and/or audible feature, respectively, from the patient comprising observing the patient directly or indirectly after administering the drug to the patient. In addition, the method comprises determining pain indicating information associated with a level of pain experienced by the patient using the captured information. The method also comprises comparing the pain indicating information with the provided reference information to determine the effect of the drug on the pain experienced by the patient.La présente invention concerne une méthode permettant de déterminer un effet d'un médicament sur la douleur ressentie par un patient. La méthode consiste à fournir des informations de référence concernant au moins une caractéristique visible et/ou audible qui fait état d'un niveau de la douleur. Le procédé consiste en outre à capturer des informations du patient faisant état de ladite caractéristique visible et/ou audible, respectivement, comprenant l'observation du patient directement ou indirectement après administration du médicament au patient. De plus, le procédé consiste à déterminer des informations faisant état de la douleur associées à un niveau de douleur ressentie par le patient à l'aide desdites informations capturées. Le procédé consiste également à comparer les informations faisant état de la douleur avec les informations de référence pour déterminer l'effet du médicament sur la douleur ressentie par le patient.
