PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly for an external cardiac pacing and an external cardiac monitoring, the assembly being capable of reducing effect of stimulation artifact on physiological monitoring.SOLUTION: First and second electrodes for external monitoring that are selected from three or more electrodes for monitoring so as to reduce effect of the electrical artifact on a differential signal are disposed so that the electrical artifact generated by pulse for pacing is offset in a signal made of a detected potential. The three or more electrodes for monitoring include two or more electrodes for monitoring located at a different distance from one of the electrodes for stimulation.
