The disclosure is related to an examining system for eye gland function. The system includes a thermography unit used to capture an ocular thermographic image. The temperature distribution over multiple positions of eye can be found. A computation unit is used to compute average temperatures for the areas of multiple positions. The temperatures are such as a reference temperature for a reference position and temperatures for multiple tested positions. The temperature values are temporarily stored in a memory of the system The system further includes a comparison unit used to calculate the differences or ratios among the temperature values. The comparison results are output.
