The present invention relates to an implant to automatic extension (1), including: - a body (30), delimiting an internal axial recess which opens on one side by an opening and which has the opposite side with a tapered section on the body forming a stop face, - an annular plug (70) which is fixed to the mouth of the body and which has a stop face turned towards the abutment face, - at least one rod (10) is engaged through said annular plug and of the body, and - a split ring mounted on the rod and is housed in the axial housing of the body. According to the invention, the abutment faces and stopping have shapes which are chamfered one reentrant and the other projecting, such that said split ring expands when it presses against the face of the bevelled shape projecting and that it is compressed on said rod when it presses against the face of the bevelled reentrant.Linvention concerne un implant à allongement automatique (1), comportant :- un corps (30) délimitant intérieurement un logement axial qui souvre dun côté par une embouchure et qui présente du côté opposé un rétrécissement de section formant sur le corps une face de butée,- un bouchon annulaire (70) qui est fixé à lembouchure du corps et qui présente une face darrêt tournée vers ladite face de butée,- au moins une tige (10) engagée au travers dudit bouchon annulaire et du corps, et- une bague fendue montée sur la tige et logée dans le logement axial du corps.Selon linvention, les faces de butée et darrêt présentent des formes biseautées lune rentrante et lautre saillante, telles que ladite bague fendue se dilate lorsquelle sappuie contre la face de forme biseautée saillante et quelle se comprime sur ladite tige lorsquelle sappuie contre la face de forme biseautée rentrante.
