The present invention relates to an immediate release orally administrableabuse-deterrentpharmaceutical formulation comprising: at least one pharmaceutically activeingredient that issusceptible to abuse； at least one natural gelling polymeric compound selectedfrom the groupconsisting of: gellan gum, xanthan gum, konjac glucomannan, carrageenan,carbopol andcombinations thereof； and optionally at least one surfactant, wherein saidformulation exhibitproperties related to deterring the abuse, via injection or nasal inhalationwhen being tampered.Said formulation provides an immediate release of the pharmacologically activeingredient whenthe tablet is taken orally and becomes an uninjectable and unsyringeable gelwhen exposed toaqueous, alcoholic, acidic and basic media upon tampering.
