PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of suppressing the lengthening of an emergency stop distance even when a horizontal movement operation speed of a top plate or a stand device is accelerated.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus of one embodiment includes a bed device, a stand device, movement means, and control means. The bed device includes a top plate. The stand device includes scan means for scanning a subject by an X-ray. The movement means includes drive force generation means for generating drive force, and relatively moves the stand device and the top plate based on the generated drive force.
