An electrode needle (a first electrode needle) is an electrode needle punctured into an organism. The electrode needle includes a columnar or tubular core section, an electrode formed in the core section, an insulating section in which the electrode is covered with an insulating material, and an electrode window section in which the electrode or a sensing layer (a detection layer) formed on the electrode is exposed.
