<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing accumulation of thatch layers in a lawn. <；P>；SOLUTION: The method for suppressing accumulation of thatch layers in the lawn includes applying a fertilizer composition containing coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (a) and coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (b) having a dissolution period 30-100 days longer in which 80 wt.% of a nitrogen fertilizer component is dissolved into water at 25°；C than a dissolution period in which 80 wt.% of the nitrogen fertilizer component of the coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (a) is dissolved, wherein the coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (a) and the coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (b) are preferably coated granular urea, and the ratio of the coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (a) to the coated granular nitrogen fertilizer (b) is (3:7)-(7:3), to lawn grass in an early growing period. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
