Has long been used in folk medicine in many countries as antimicrobial and / or antioxidants our finding support the uses of the phyllanthus species in traditional medicine. Physalis minima Linn. Is widely used in the indigenous system of medicine for the treatment of diuretic, fevers, dropsy, etc., In the present study an attempt to evaluate phytochemical constituents and anti hepatica activity of the leaf and unripe fruit of P.minima. All part of the Physalis minima has identified triterpenoid substances. Former identified terpenoid such as geranio was shown to inhibit the growth of hepatic carcinoma cells.
