A pharmaceutical or veterinary composition comprises a hyaluronic acid or asalt thereof or an ester of hyaluronic acid with an alcohol of the aliphatic,heterocyclic or cycloaliphatic series, or a sulphated form of hyaluronic acid,together with at least one eicosanoid or tetraenoic polyunsaturated fatty acidor an ester or a salt thereof, preferably in the form of an extract of fattyacids from the New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel Perna canaliculus. Thecompositions are active against inflammatory conditions includingosteoarthritis.
