PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for the delivery of fluid across an anatomical region.SOLUTION: The catheter is comprised of: an elongate tubular catheter body having a distal end which is closed and defines an infusion section of the catheter, wherein the infusion section is configured such that fluid passes through the catheter body and a member having adjacent coils which are in contact with the member at least partially in an unstretched state of the member, having a first end and a second end, enclosed within a lumen of the catheter body, and extending at least along a length of the infusion section.
