PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-temperature-steam formaldehyde sterilization device using a water seal-type vacuum pump, which prevents the dissolution of formaldehyde into seal water, and does not require a large amount of water for formaldehyde dilution, leading to reduced running cost.SOLUTION: A low-temperature-steam formaldehyde sterilization device has a sterilization tank 2 in which a material to be sterilized is stored, a water seal-type vacuum pump 3 that sucks and discharges a gas in the sterilization tank 2 to the external, and a catalyst reactor 6 that is provided in an exhaust path 9 from the sterilization tank 2 to the vacuum pump 3 and decomposes formaldehyde.
