It is intended to provide a clathrate capable of including an organic compound having a size more than 1 nm (i.e., the level at which inclusion in the existing cyclodextrin is impossible) but less than 3 nm (i.e., the level at which stable inclusion in the existing hollow fiber-shaped organic nanotubes is impossible) and a method of producing the same. Namely, a low-molecular organic compound combined with a glycolipid or a peptide lipid is dissolved in a single solvent or a solvent mixture composed of multiple kinds of solvents and the solution is allowed to undergo self-assembly by standing at room temperature or concentrating to thereby form a hollow fiber-shaped organic nanotube having the low-molecular organic compound intercalated therein in which the low-molecular organic compound has been intercalated in a lipid bimolecular membrane constituting a hollow fiber-shaped organic nanotube.
