PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of suppressing the stress concentration due to a bend while retaining the flexibility of a guide wire distal end.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 comprises: a core shaft 20 an outer coil 30 covering the outer circumference of the core shaft 20 and an inner coil 40 covering the leading end portion of the core shaft 20 on the inner side of the outer coil 30. The tip end 41 and the base end 42 of the inner coil 40 are free ends having no junction.
