PURPOSE: A production method of flake type salt using bay salt is provided to offer the basic characteristics of the bay salt and improve flavor. CONSTITUTION: Bay salt is washed with saturated water. Impurities are filtered from the washed bay salt. The filtered bay salt is dissolved in saturated water. Heavy metals are removed from the dissolved bay salt. The dissolved bay salt is dried to form the bay salt in a flake shape. The lower side of the bay salt is heated, and the upper side of the bay salt is cooled to remove moisture. The concentration of the saturated water is 26%. The washing process is conducted for 50 minutes-1 hour and 10 minutes.
