PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in a manufacture cost by facilitating the manufacture by a simple configuration and minimize pain generated in measurement.SOLUTION: A periodontal pocket depth measuring instrument 1 for measuring depth of a periodontal pocket includes: a probe 3 to be inserted into the periodontal pocket a body part 2 for holding the probe 3 and a measurement part 102 for detecting the insertion depth of the probe 3 with respect to the periodontal pocket. A distal end 31 of the probe 3, extending from the body part 2 has a flat shape.
