According to an embodiment of the present invention, a plant growth monitoring system monitors the growth of plants cultivated in a greenhouse, and comprises: a sensing unit detecting growth environment information including the temperature, humidity, amount of insolation, or air conditions to cultivate plants, and photographing an image； a control unit storing data inputted from the sensing unit and controlling the greenhouse using data； and a portable terminal connected with the control unit through wireless communications and receiving the growth environment information or image data of plants in real time.본 발명의 실시예에 따른 식물생장 모니터링 시스템은 온실에서 재배되는 식물의 생장을 모니터링하는 시스템으로서, 식물이 재배되는 온도, 습도, 일사량 또는 대기상태를 포함하는 생장환경정보를 검출하고, 영상을 촬영하는 센싱부, 상기 센싱부로부터 입력되는 데이터를 저장하고, 상기 데이터를 이용하여 온실을 제어하는 제어부 및 상기 제어부와 무선통신을 통해서 연결되어 식물의 생장환경정보 또는 영상데이터를 실시간으로 전송받는 휴대용 단말을 포함한다.
