A method of seeding and a cultivation air seeder comprising a plurality of cultivators for working the ground and a plurality of openers behind said cultivators for preparing seed furrows and depositing seeds into the furrows when said openers are engaging the ground, whereby said cultivators and said openers are raised sequentially with the cultivators being raised first and said openers being raised second.
