According to the present invention, a method for determining an additional filming direction for a three-dimensional scanner comprises the steps of: searching the contact surface among a plurality of patches obtained by filming in a plurality of predetermined directions using a three-dimensional scanner； detecting virtual border triangles by removing border triangles corresponding to the searched contact surface among border triangles of the plurality of patches, respectively； forming a visibility map using the virtual border triangles； and determining an additional filming direction using the visibility map.본 발명에 따른 추가 촬영 방향 결정 방법은, 3D 스캐너를 이용하여 미리 정해진 복수 개의 방향들에서 촬영하여 얻어진 복수 개의 패치들 간의 접촉면을 탐색하는 단계； 상기 복수 개의 패치들 각각의 경계 트라이앵글들 중 상기 탐색된 접촉면에 해당하는 경계 트라이앵글들을 제거하여, 가상 경계 트라이앵글들을 검출하는 단계； 상기 가상 경계 트라이앵글들을 이용하여 visibility map을 형성하는 단계； 및 상기 visibility map을 이용하여 추가적인 촬영 방향을 결정하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
